Small-bore Summer League 2011 - Match and Date Tables

Shooting Dates

The Summer Small-bore Season will start in early May.  Each match period is two weeks.  The first round must be completed by 16th May 2011, and then after that it's one round to be completed in each of the following match periods (except for those teams shooting ten rounds, where round 10 must also be shot in the final match period).

Summer shooting dates (50m and Dewar leagues):

Round No.  One Two Three Four Five
Last Shooting Day   16th May   30th May    13th June       27th June         11th July

Round No.  Six Seven Eight Nine Ten
Last Shooting Day      25th July         8th August        22nd August     5th September

Summer shooting dates (100y pairs competition):

Round No.  One Two Three Four Five Six
Last Shooting Day        30th May             27th June             25th July           22nd August        5th September

Cards must be despatched to the divisional umpire as soon as possible after the completion of the shoot, but in any case, must reach the umpire by the second Saturday morning following the last day of shooting.

Cards must be shot in round order but may be fired as far in advance as you wish.  Cards for the 100y pairs competition may be shot individually or concurrently with the Dewar competition. If cards are shot concurrently, please ensure that the final shooting dates for each competition are adhered to. i.e. if round 1 of the 100yds league is shot concurrently with round 1 of the Dewar, then round 2 of the 100yd league may be shot concurrently with rounds 2, 3 or 4 of the Dewar, but not with round 5.

In view of the increasing difficulties with the postal system it is advisable to keep well in advance with all shooting and send more than one sets of targets at a time. This will also save a little on postage costs. Clubs are advised to get a Certificate of Posting from the post office when sending cards to scorers. On request, these are supplied free of charge by the Post Office whenever packages are handed over at the Post Office counter.

Points to Note

Every round counts, even any BYE rounds.  Where a league contains a BYE round two points will be awarded providing a complete set of cards are shot and returned for the aggregate. This is because all cards shot count towards:-

Any ties are decided on the Aggregate of ALL 9/10 rounds.  Final league positions could also depend on the aggregate of all 9/10 rounds (certainly in the top divisions).

Contact Details

If you have a problem with any of your teams or league cards, please contact the relevant divisional umpire immediately (by phone or e-mail) - most problems can be sorted out very quickly.  Those that can't will be referred to the League Secretary for a final decision.
